Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pam has always been great with my two dogs, my Shipoo is a diva and not easy but Pam makes it happen. Two other places I tried when we moved here wanted us to drug her and it broke my heart. Her groomer in Virginia never took issue, took her time with her, figured out her personality and I was worried we would never find that here. Thankfully we found Pam, luckily my other dog is super easy so it balances out🙂 The fact that she comes to our house and her trailer is quiet helps keep her stress levels down. Very grateful for Pam

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brinkley just loves Pam and he took to her instantly. She listens and grooms for what Brinkley needs each time. He loves being at home rather than being left at a shop. So happy we found Pam’s Cut Above.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pam did and excellent job with my dogs. One has bad anxiety and she comforted her completely. By the end, her tail was wagging and she's been running around since. My other one is just as happy! Thank you Pam, for caring for my dogs like they're part of your family too! God bless!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough good things about Pam and her team! We used to take our mini golden doodle Archie to a local chain to get groomed. He hated it, so we tried to do it ourselves. That was a disaster:) This was the BEST grooming experience for Archie - he looks and smells great and was happy. And we didn't have to leave our house. Now he's all set for the holidays. I am so happy we found Pam's Cut Above!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pam and her team do a great job with our shihpoo puppy. She has a sweet mobile setup (solar panels, big, legit). She’s also incredibly sweet, and my pup can sense that and loves to see pam! She gets excited when Pam arrives. If you own a dog like mine you know that they can sense a person’s vibe 😂. So convenient to not have to drive anywhere for her haircut.
Pam has never missed an appointment and stays in communication with us.
She knew the right way to cut a shihpoo’s puppy hair so that her coat grows out correctly (as opposed to how some groomers shave the coat which can make it grow out less than ideal – we’ve prob had about 5 sessions with Pam now and our pup has never lost her soft coat). She’s a rare breed of groomers (pun intended) who I can tell genuinely loves her furry clients.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm a mobile and in-home groomer.

Where do you do the grooming?

Why are your prices higher than other groomers?

Why is mobile grooming more expensive than at a shop?

Mobile grooming is a luxury, convenience based service, that provides you and your pet with the individual attention and service you deserve. Unlike store-front grooming salons, who must rely on a high volume of dogs and groomers to meet their monetary obligations, mobile grooming is a specialized service with one-on-one service from start to finish. Because I’m not able to groom as many dogs as a salon to cover our operational costs, however, this must be reflected in our prices.

In addition, Pam’s Cut Above LLC is owned and operated by a Certified Master Groomer that believes in certification and continuing education. My experience, training, and quality of my work is reflected in the price.

Do you service my area?

How do I reserve an appointment?

Do you groom cats?

Do I need to be home when you come to groom my pet?

I only require you to be present during the first appointment. All existing client’s are welcome to leave a key or garage/ lockbox code for me to enter while you are at work or running errands. This convenient service has also allowed many of my clients the luxury to set up a recurring schedule with their groomer and avoid fees associated with missed appointments. Plus, it requires the least amount of effort for our clients—they leave and come home to a happy and clean pup! Additionally, I always make sure they get a little walk to go potty prior to securing them back inside your home.

Benefits of Mobile Home Grooming

Convenience

No more dropping off and picking up your pet. No more planning your day around your pet's grooming appointment. I come to you at a convenient time, or while you are at work.

Reduced stress for your pet

No stressful car rides, no cages, no listening to loud dryers or barking dogs all day, no waiting to be groomed. I provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere. My goal is to offer a positive grooming experience for your pets.

No Crate drying

Crate drying can be dangerous and stressful for your pet. Your baby will be dried by hand and a small dryer.

One-on-one attention

With no distractions, pets to check in or out, other groomers to help, your pet is worked on without interruption from start to finish.

Same groomer every time

My grooming services are performed by me as the business owner. Having the same groomer for each appointment can be a familiar and comfortable feeling for your pet. I look forward to building a relationship with you!

Quicker grooming times

No more waiting all day to get your dog back from the groomers. Quicker grooming times are ideal for any pet. But specially for anxious, or senior pets.

No exposure to other pets

Your pet will never come in contact with other pets that may carry parasites or viruses. My equipment is cleaned and disinfected after every appointment. Mobile grooming is also perfect for dogs that do not get along well with others.
